My first GSA/LGBT meeting. HELP aSAP!
 

Title says it all! Going to my first GSA/LGBT meeting today at school, its over lunch, and we're going to be working on "Rainbow Day" aparently, have'nt heard much about it, heard it over the PA a few times, but anyways, just letting you all know :D And iam kinda worried... I dont know who is going to be there and iam kinda scared to go T_T I dont know what we'e all going to be doing, iam not going to know anyone, and its all just going to be to weird :( Iams cared they're not going to like me, that they are going to avoid me, iam afriad they wont like me, that they will laugh at me, everything :( I just dont know what iam going to do T_T IAm going today at lunch anyways... But ya... Some help, advice and pointers would be great :( Thanks

Hey there Seth :) Just be yourself! Its perfectly normal to be nervous and they will expect you to be, just say hi and put yourself out there. Its great that you're joining this community and I very much doubt they'll laugh at you. Why would they? You're all the same boat!

I think you'll be fine :) Nothing to worry about :)

Have you already been to your meeting?

To be honest, I'd be scared to go as well--based on the kids at my school. I think it's a plunge that is worth taking. I hope that some good will come out of this for you. I can't wait to hear how things went.
