Reflecting on Valentine's Day
Are you someone who counts down the days until Valentine's Day? Or is it just a normal day for you because you don't really know what to do on this day or you don't really care about it? Everyone can enjoy and look at Valentine's Day differently and that is okay because it's not just about being in love and being in a relationship with someone. It's also about spending time with someone who you enjoy being with, and showing yourself some love!
What do you love in life? It is always good to love different things that are in your life, from yourself and others, to everything in between. Let's start with considering what you love in your life, this is different for everyone and that's okay.
Activities to do with someone
Ask the people in your life if they would like to come to your house and watch movies together and have a pizza party or go out for lunch with them. Go for a walk or hike as a big group and grab some hot chocolate after and just hang out with the people who you truly care about in your life. This is what matters the most in life, being with the people we love and having a wonderful time together because when we are with these people, they pick us up and make us feel better. Also, try to think about what you love in your life, no matter what it may be and have fun with who you are spending time with.
Activities to do on your own
"The most important relationship in your life is the relationship you have with yourself." If you do not have anyone close to you to spend time with on Valentine's Day, you can still have fun doing something by yourself. For example, you can get take out from your favorite restaurants and find your favorite movies or TV shows to watch and have fun watching movies. Sometimes we are alone for the holidays and that doesn't mean we have to miss out on this, we can still have fun. Show yourself some love and do the things that will boost your mood.
With Valentine's Day coming up, everyone always thinks you have to have someone who you are dating for this day, the truth is you can love other things in your life and still have an amazing Valentine's Day.
