Top 7 things to purchase at the Dollar Tree
By Cassie (cynefin)

The Dollar Tree is a store known for its slogan "Everything's a dollar" and it has become increasingly popular in recent years. This chain has over a thousand stores in the United States and Canada. Customers can shop in store, order online, and view different creative ideas on the Dollar Tree's blog. In no particular order, here's a list of some of the best items you can purchase from the Dollar Tree.

Paper goods. The store has a selection of paper plates, napkins, toilet paper and paper towels. As with everything at the Dollar Tree, some of these items are off brands, while others are 'name' brands that have been packaged in a smaller quantity specifically for the store. If you're short on paper towels or need extra napkins, be sure to stock up here.

Gift items. The Dollar Tree is a great place to purchase items for gifting. You can find a variety of wrapping and tissue papers, bows or ribbon, and cards. The cards especially are a good value as cards tend to be relatively expensive everywhere else.

Craft materials. If you or someone you know enjoys crafting, stop by the store to pick up anything from glitters and paint to popsicle sticks and beads. A lot of people who can't shop at a traditional craft store or don't have one available benefit from this selection.

Cooking accessories. You can find different items, such as food tongs and oven mitts, food storage containers, cheese graters, cutting boards, and more. These are good options for a forgotten utensil or a last minute gathering.

Cleaning supplies. The Dollar Tree has everything, from dusters and mops to sponges and toilet bowl cleaner. This store is the place to go, especially if you want to purchase "throw away" cleaning supplies like sponges or toilet brushes.

Auto and hardware supplies. Do you need a screw driver or some bungee cords to secure furniture to your car? Look at the Dollar Tree for items before going to your local auto or hardware store.

Seasonal items. The store has seasonal items like decorations and other home décor. You can also find different children's toys, such as buckets and other sand toys, depending on the season. Many of these items are expensive elsewhere and do not last a long time. If you purchase them for a lower price, however, you can throw them away at the end of the season if needed without feeling a lot of guilt.
