Pregnant! - Updated -
March 2nd 2009, 02:32 AM
I was going to wait and test Thursday of this week, because I tested just this past Thursday and it was negative. But I was too anxious and could not wait.
So, I tested this morning and it was positive; rather "Pregnant". I cannot explain how excited and scared I am. I miscarried back in November and it was so devastating. I am so scared that it is going to happen again it isn't even funny. But I am not under nearly as much stress as I was with my first pregnancy so that makes me feel a little better.
I haven't been to the doctor yet but I am pretty sure this positive is 100% correct. I am just really, really happy right now.
Update: March 11, 2009
Okay, so I went to the doctor today. I get an ultrasound Friday the 13th .. creepy date, btw! But I am looking forward to seeing my little pumpkin's heartbeat.

With how excited you are, I hope it is correct.
Maybe you can talk to your doctor, since you miscarried last time, about somethings to make a miscarriage less likely?
I know it sounds weird, but I'm almost positive that there are somethings that could help that sort of stuff.

Since you had a miscarriage just a few months ago, you should try to get prenatal care as soon as possible to help make sure things go smoothly. But anyway, best of luck with this pregnancy. :]

Thanks everyone. I just found out today and I will be calling the doctor sometime this week to make an appointment. Believe me I am not going to mess around AT ALL. I don't think I can emotionally go through another miscarriage.

Lol, I know! Baby stuff is extremely cute. I can't wait to start buying stuff! Yeah, the daddy knows. He is happy but worries that I'll miscarry again and he doesn't want us to go through that again. But so far so good. But he definitely wants a boy, lol. I think I am leaning more towards a girl. I think of pink and brown and purple and green color scheme when I think about decorating a nursery .. lol.

Lol, it makes me happy! I don't really talk to anyone about it right now because no one really knows. So I am kind of lonely in my happiness. (my bf works 10 hours a day) As of right now I estimate my due date is Oct. 27th or around there. I am only around 6 weeks. I go to the doctor Wednesday March 11th; so I'll find out for sure then.
Haha, I was looking at baby stuff today. I just can't wait ... lol. But 7 or so months is a long time away ... So I have a long time until I get to meet the baby.
I just realized that, that kind of really sucks. HAHA.

But it always goes so fast, you'll get your sleepless nights soon! Im looking after a 3 month old baby boy today, he's so damn cute. I feel terrible, though, i think i have the flu. Trust me, on one of the first hot days we've had!

I know how you feel about the baby clothes. I always "aww" when I see anything for a baby. All of my mother's friends are older, past child bearing years. But we do have some younger cousins (like 3rd and 4th) who are starting families now so it is always exciting. I don't even know anyone who is pregnant right now, yet I'm knitting a baby blanket with sail boats on it because I can't resist!

No, my parents do not know. Well, rather my mother doesn't know. My father has never been in my life. But I am not telling my mom until I tell everyone else. We don't really have that "special" relationship. She doesn't like my bf so she wont be happy. She just doesn't like him because he is black; which is completely ridiculous.
I am sorry about your flu! I hope you start feeling better!

I'm not worried about it, I'll find someone eventually. I have a drawer where I throw knitted things and will give them away as needed. There are lots of things that I would love to make--like this blanket--that I have no use for, so I just make them and hoard them away for the right occasion. You really should give knitting a try, I'm entirely self taught from online videos.

Yes, I go to the doctor on Wednesday March 11th. So the day after tomorrow. I am happy to go to the doctor and get all that stupid first doctors appointment stuff over. (Such as a pap and the doctor abusing me.)
Hm, that sucks that your mother would think like that. Although my mom is pretty ignorant in her thinking as well. But she doesn't support me anymore so it really doesn't matter. I will be twenty in a couple months so I am a big girl.
I hope you get to babysit the baby soon as well. Sounds like you really look forward to that!!

And you can think of me when you forget your seatbelt,
and again when your head goes through the windshield.

Lol, my bf missed my first appointment last time. So I do not know what he will think this time when he is actually there. I tried to describe what the doctor does but I don't know if he really understands. She pretty much beat me up last time, pushing around so much and all.
Hey, babies will come on their own time. I think its great that you two will be waiting. I am in college right now and I have no idea how I am going to do both to be honest. I guess i'll figure it out.
And I will PM you about the appointment. Heck, I have no one else to tell about it to really.

Congrats, Kala! You'll have to keep us all updated and let us know how everything goes!
The walls are high, the walls are strong
I've been trapped in this castle that I built for far too long
You have surrounded me, a sea on every side
The cracks are forming and I've got no where to hide

Aww, you can always talk to me Im looking after 2 month old twins today, so cute. One boy, and one girl. Lovely little things. They are sleeping at the moment. I love babies, i think a lot of my friends think its a bit odd but ive just always been very maternal.
Anyways, remember to let me know how it goes!
Can you help this girl?

So, is that what you call a getaway?
Tell me what you got away with.
Cause I've seen more spine in jellyfish.
I've seen more guts in eleven-year-old kids.
Have another drink and drive yourself home.
(I hope there's ice on all the roads.)
And you can think of me when you forget your seatbelt,
and again when your head goes through the windshield.
