I've always heard that it's okay as long as you're not in your first trimester and you do it in a well-ventilated area so you're not breathing a lot of it in.

I always heard that if you dye your hair while you are pregnant it needs to be a natural hair dye,.?
"My life is like a rolling river
So muddy and absurd
And although I might be mistaken
I know that I’ll be heard
And I find the second I try to pull away
I’m thrown back in line
All this time"

if in doubt, wait til you've asked your doctor to be sure. my friend dyed her hair when she was pregnant, but i very much doubt she asked her doctor beforehand so that's not much to go on.

I HIGHLY suggest you get the book pregnancy for dummies... it rules out old rumors like hairdye, manicures and so on. Hair dye was vetoed out back in the days when it used harsher chemicals, alot of hair dyes no longer contain those chemicals.
"When it comes down to it I let them think what they want, if they care enough to bother with what I do then I'm already better than them." Marilyn Monroe.

there is nothing wrong with it...As long as you arent breathing in all the chemicals. It wont hurt anything. the only thing it could do...your hair night not take the dye as well as it normally would because of your hormones..But i never had a problem with it.

You'll hear that no, it is not okay, and you'll here yes, it is okay. I did with my son. I dyed my hair black. My son was completely fine and born on his due date. I think its personal preferrence for the most part. Do make sure though that its well ventilated in the area you're doing it in. And if its possible, get the stuff that doesnt have amonia in it, much easier to breathe. If its warm enough to do it outside and have some help with your kids, then Id do it that way personally.

i agree with all of the others. the fumes are toxic to the baby just like your not suppose to deal with kitty litter because of the fumes. i would suggest to not dye your hair. but always ask the doc

It's fine to do so, I'm going to school to become a hairstylist & my professor told the class, it's fine. She worked in the salon, doing clients being pregnant with both of her children and they turned out fine.

no its not ok. I actually just got back from my doctors today about this... so thats weird. ha. But ne way, hair dye should NOT be used on pregnant women. Even if the fumes arent strong... the chemicals are harmful to the baby. I had 3 doctors tell me this. so...

lol I watched that episode too. However, we are not ultrasound techs, or doctors so we don't know. If you don't trust your doctors opinion, get a second one
