Pregnancy and Childcare If you're pregnant, a young parent, or have questions related to either, ask them here!
Yes. Having sex while pregnant does nothing to harm the baby. However, while pregnancy is not a concern, you could still contract STIs from having unprotected sex with a partner whose test results you are unfamiliar with. STIs during pregnancy can cause pregnancy complications/difficulties with delivery. Therefore, I recommend if you're going to have sex while pregnant you use condoms or else only have sex with one partner whose STI status you're familiar with.
By the third month, you should refrain from being on your back for more than a few minutes. The pressure of the baby can press on nerves and blood vessels. So just like you can't sleep on your back, you should also refrain from being on your back during sex for more than a couple minutes.
