7 Months Pregnant and Spotting... Should I Be Scared???

Okay, I am 7 months pregnant, as the title suggests, and my fiancee and I had sex this morning and now I am spotting. I know that if I'm bleeding at all I'm supposed to go to call my doctor or go to the hospital if I can't reach him, but does that still count if its after sex?

I would definitely recommend that you call him anyway, especially if the spotting it unusual for you. Sometimes spotting after sex is normal, but it'd be safest to just call and let him know whats going on.

It's fairly common to spot after sex when you're pregnant. If you're worried, don't hesitate to call your doctor. It's happened to me and when I called, the doctor just said that if it continues or gets heavier, then it would probably be necessary to come in and see what's going on. But I'm sure that as long as it's light spotting and it doesn't last long or get heavier to where it's like a period, you're fine. It happens to a lot of pregnant women.

Just be sure to mention it to your doctor at your next appointment. Be sure that s/he knows that it was after you had sex. It shouldn't be a big deal, but it's best that the doctor knows.
