Am I pregnant? - April 21st 2015, 01:23 AM

I'm 17 and my period is a month late. I've been sexually active for a few months, and my bf never used a condom, but he pulls out successfully 100% of the time. He's completely sure he didn't...you know...inside. I haven't been showing any of the signs of pregnancy except for the missed period. I live in a part of the US that requires parental consent for everything regarding this. I've taken 2 home pregnancy tests and they were both negative (i had taken one in the morning and one at night, 2-3 weeks apart). My parents cannot know unless I'm sure I'm pregnant. They will kill me if I am. I also don't have a gynecologist. I've been really stressed lately, and I've been trying to eat less. Am i pregnant?

You are aware that the pull-out method is not a suitable alternative for birth control, yes? Be smart and use reliable contraceptive methods to avoid unwanted pregnancies.

Based on the information you've provided, it doesn't sound like you're pregnant. Regardless, stress can delay your menstrual cycle quite significantly, so just be patient and exercise caution while engaging in sexual activity.

The pull out method is a very unreliable form of birth control. If you're going to be having sex, you need to be safe about it and use a condom. I also want to add that pregnancy tests should be taken when you first go to the bathroom in the morning because that is when the hormones will be most potent, taking it at night is likely to result in a negative because of this.
Remember stress and other variables can delay your period, so if you took tests two weeks after you last had sex and they came up negative then you probably aren't pregnant, but definitely be safe about it in the future. It's just not worth the risk.

And here you are living, despite it all.
