The only way to know for sure is to take a pregnancy test.
Also look up the side effects of depo. If your test comes back negative and you are still worried about the bleeding speak with your doctor.

If you've been taking the depo shot for a year then your chances of being pregnant are slim. The depo shot's effectiveness rate is 99%. If you're having problems with your periods because of the injection then you might want to go back and speak to your doctor to make sure nothing else is going on.

You could always take a pregnancy test to ease your concerns but if you've been taking the injection correctly then you should be fine.

Hey there,

The only way to know for sure if you are pregnant is to take a pregnancy test. I think you should consider scheduling an appointment with your doctor and discuss some of these symptoms that you are experiencing. The doctor will be able to help assess if these could be signs of pregnancy or if it could be something to do with the Depo shot that you are taking. From there the two of you can evaluate what the best course of action is for you to take. The doctor might decide that you should take a different birth control or something along those lines.

I hope this helped and I am wishing you the best of luck.
