Period question

I am on birth control, have been for a year or so, I took my pill a few hours late, so a little bit of blood came but I just took my pill (6 hour late) I am going on a trip with my boyfriends family and I really don't want to deal with this, do you think the pill will make my period leave?

Unfortunately, periods have a mind of their own :bleh: Sometimes, we think it's done, then BAM. There it is again. I'm honestly not sure if it will be done by then, although it doesn't hurt to hope for the best. Take some tampons or pads just in case.

I don't think the actual birth control pills make it go away on a set time scale. Like it will begin to go away, but it may not be completely done for a while. If that makes sense?
