i actually keep a set of panties specifically for my period. they're just plain cotton panties of various colours, but they're super comfy and not too tight or too loose. keeping a set of period-panties is a wonderful idea, since when aunt flo sneaks up on you, she can sometimes stain they're also nice and comfy, and you aren't constantly worrying about ruining your expensive or really nice underwear incase your pad or tampon leaks!

I mostly wear tampons during the day, so basically boyshorts or a thong every now and then.
Then at night, boyshorts because they're comfy with pads.
As for colors.. It doesn't matter to me. lol
