Period Venting -
October 13th 2011, 05:27 PM
Before I start, I am not a negative person okay!
I am yet to meet a person who doesn't hate it. Just that I love to rant about it. Whatever did guys do to escape this?
I just hate this one week of every month. Whats not to hate? I hate the bloody cramps. Who needs so much of pain. I hate how I suddenly start feeling heavy and loose my appetite. I don't even eat my favourite junk food! d:
I become more lazy than I already am (Yeah that's possible ). I stop moving and when I do, my face twists into this weird expression of discomfort. I constantly have this urge to puke.
The whole day in school passes in worrying about staining the uniform which happens to be WHITE in the summer thus for lets say 75% of the year. I can't sleep at night, its that uncomfortable.
Now seriously, what the heck did the guys do to escape THIS?
Anyone else out there who would want to vent?

I hate always having to bring things to be prepared and that I have to keep track of time to know when I need to change my tampon.
And here you are living, despite it all.

Don't even get me started. My cramps leave me curled up in bed in pain at least one day a month. Also, it's always really heavy, and when I think it's finally gone, it comes back for revenge

I hate the breast soreness and emotional-ness for the week BEFORE followed by the heavy bleeding and food cravings... and recently, the anaemia.

Maybe you should try getting on the pill. It can really help with cramps and such. Maybe it won't be so awful!

I hate periods. Full stop. When I'm on I get really mad at any guy who tries to come near me purely because I hate the fact that they don't have to suffer.
Do you wanna come with me? 'Cause if you do, then I should warn you - you're gonna see all sorts of things. Ghosts from the past. Aliens from the future. The day the Earth died in a ball of flame. It won't be quiet, it won't be safe, and it won't be calm. But I'll tell you what it will be: The trip of a lifetime!
Don't trust a perfect person and don't trust a song that's flawless.
RIP Granddad Terry. I'll miss you.

I hate the fact that they're uncomfortable to sit through and that everytime I sneeze or cough it feels icky, but it's just a sign that I'm healthy, so I'm greatful for them being that baha.

I hate the fact that I'm constantly worried that I'm on and I feel I have to nip to the toilet to check all the time. I hate the way it feels and the fact it smells icky in the morning. Oh and any time it's heavy you nearly always bleed through and have to wash your clothes before anyone sees. And it's a pain at other people's houses when you need to change and you can't swin unless you wear tampons and stuff... Worst Thing Ever!

If I didn't have cramps it wouldn't really bother me. Once I've taken a couple painkillers the cramps are tolerable.
Other than the cramps I just find it annoying

Thank God for that. I thought that just happened to me when I sneeze

After discovering alternative menstrual products, I've become more aware of my own body and a lot more accepting of menstruation as a natural function. My periods have also mellowed out since I've gotten them. I do have a Paragard which usually makes periods heavier and more painful, but it's somewhat easy although inconvenient to keep on top of that.
Basically, I've become less angsty over the years and began to see menstruation as a very natural process, essential to my well being as a woman.
