Puberty question for other guys -
October 8th 2011, 09:05 PM
I'm 17 and I've been in locker rooms etc
men's penis usually hang down between their legs. Mine is pulled back, to the point where only the head is coming out of my body. Sometimes it gets super uncomfortable because sometimes it feels like the head is being pushed in. It's really worrying me, its really uncomfortable and need some male input.
Its really awkward to ask someone I know and I don't have a dad.

Hi Dariush,
Are you overweight? If you are, the fat pad that develops there on the lower abdomen pushes the skin down on the shaft of the penis, giving it the appearance you're describing. Fix: Lose the weight.
Also, be aware that the length of the penis when flaccid (soft) varies based on temperature, and also the angle you're looking at it. Typically, guys look down on their penis, so the perspective on it changes based on the angle of view. Lastly, flaccid length isn't really important, as long as you can get an erection of at least 4" you'll be able to perform and satisfy your partner.
As always, talk with your doc if you have concerns, but also be aware that by 17, it's likely that if there was real problem, the doc would have noticed and commented on it by now.

Like Bobby said, If you are overweight, the fat pad that rest just above your penis maybe really thick and covers it up.
Also, keep in mind that there are two classes of penises. The "Showers" and the "Growers". The Showers have a larger flaccid length, but when they become erect, they gain less length and simple become "rigid". Growers have short to almost non existent flaccid length, but spring fully loaded when erect.
And, to quote a HIGHLY abused line on this site, "It's not the size of the boat, It's the motion in the ocean."
If you have any SERIOUS concerns over it, talk to your doctor...and be honest.
"One of the things I regret the most of being able to imagine anything,
is having to fear nothing"
"Realty is a lot more malleable then most people think.
They just refuse to believe that they can do anything about it."
"If a simple electron has a small,
but nonzero chance of doing the impossible,
what is stopping us from doing the same thing?"

Yes I am. I've been trying hard to do so but its slow going.
I think I'm 5 1/2 erect but I haven't measured. I thought it might have something to do with that. Its super uncomfortable and been worrying me. you put me at ease, I really appreciate the response.

Glad to help out! Stick with the diet, some moderate exercise. Don't get discouraged. You now have a really powerful incentive!
