[FONT=""][COLOR=""][SIZE=""]I'm a girl and lately I've been having some of the most dirty dreams I've ever had. The problem is they about family members like my father. Or even lesbian dreams about my mother. They feel so real and I have trouble looking them in eye in mornings.

Lots of people say dreams don't have to mean anything but this is happening often enough it has to mean something right?

I just wake up super aroused and filled with shame. I'm sure not telling anyone I know about this.[/size][/color][/font]

I don't think you should feel ashamed about this. You can't control what you dream about. I'm also one of those people who say that dreams don't have to mean anything. Sometimes they do, but not in all cases. I don't think it means that you actually want to engage in incest with your parents.
Has anything out of the ordinary happened lately, like seeing anything pornographic, or maybe a more "intimate" scene of a show or movie came on the TV while you were with your parents? Or, has anything different happened with your parents lately that may be causing you to have these dreams?
Maybe it will help to set a different mood to go to sleep, so you have more pleasant dreams? For example, set a calming environment with your favorite soft pillows, blankets, stuffed animals, etc. You can use aromatherapy like nice lotions so you have something pretty to smell. You can even do progressive muscle relaxation or guided imagery (the guided imagery may be especially helpful) so you fall asleep to something relaxing. There are videos on Youtube for this.

I've had similar dreams about my Mum and it's very difficult to look at her in the morning after so I understand!!! I think it might just be hormones and our bodies going crazy... I hope it does sorry me too.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm wondering if you were abused as a young child and even if you don't remember any of it, it's coming back to you in your dreams. Even if you weren't abused aggressively by either parents, it's possible there's underlying issues of attachment or wanting attention. Not to sound too Freudian here. :nosweat:

If it keeps happening, I would talk to a psychiatrist about this and see what can be done. Having such dreams about your family members, especially immediate family members like your biological parents is not normal. Even if you don't have any inappropriate feelings towards them — or never develop them — it can cause permanent damage not only to you, but possibly to the relationship you have with your parents.
