I definitely experience mood changes when I'm on or around that time of the month. Hormonal changes can contribute to that - I get angrier, more upset and such, so I do think it's normal for a lot of people to have mood changes. I don't think there's anything wrong with talking about it though if you decide to, especially if it's causing you a consistent problem. If it is, maybe you could talk to your doctor and see if there is anything they can recommend to help with this.

It's also nice when it's that time of the month to do things that make you feel more at peace. A long bath, a good book, hot water bottles and maybe even something like chocolate to boost your mood can help. You can also try a bit of exercise if you feel up to it, like a short walk, as this is known to boost your mood too. :)

As Hollie said above, it's quite normal to deal with some mood changes do to the hormonal imbalance happening within your body. Even with my medication, I still find that I get 'low' when I'm getting near my period. It's also hard if you're dealing with cramps too and find it hard to get out of bed. As Hollie also stated, I find the best thing for me is chocolate! I always have chocolate bars in the house incase I need some. I personally find that they sometimes help with my cramps too. I also find taking a hot shower, some ibuprofen and snuggling up on the couch helps.

Make sure you do what's best for you during this time.

I get really bad on my period. I just feel agitated by everything. I'm super irritable. I also feel quite low-energy and just want to be left alone.

I do think it's important to let someone know how you feel whilst you're on your period. At least this way they can be more mindful of your situation and try and help be there to support you. :)
