Period. -
March 9th 2020, 03:00 AM
I know that every body is different but I've noticed that when it comes close to my period starting and even during the time of my period, I don't really have any signs or symptoms that it's arrived. I get moody and more tired then usual but that's about it. No cramping or any form of physical pain. Nothing. However, there have been times when the first day of my period, I have had stomach pain but I just take an aspirin and I'm fine for the rest of my period. I literally just finished my last menstrual cycle and the day when I got it, I didn't even know I got it until I went to the toilet. Does anyone else experience this? Not that I'm complaining as I have it pretty lucky.

I have friends that have easy periods. I’m jealous of them, but they definitely deserve to be happy with it!

My wife has extremely easy periods. She experiences sore muscles, but it's so mild that it's more of an inconvenience than an actual pain. Her only other symptom is a drop in appetite, but that doesn't impact her much since it only lasts for a couple days. As someone with absolutely awful periods, I'm jealous of (and happy for) those of you that have relatively symptom-free cycles.
wanderlust consumed her;
foreign hearts & exotic minds compelled her.
she had a gypsy soul
and a vibrant heart for the unknown.

Hi there!!
As you correctly mentioned, every body type is different!! I'm not too different from you - I have absolutely no signs or symptoms that the monthly visitor is coming. I usually just estimate the time period it might arrive based on the date of my last period (my cycle is quite regular). Except for the fact that my back hurts a little on the first day, I have no pain or cramps during the remainder of my period. It's absolutely normal; in fact, it is said that if you are really healthy and active, periods shouldn't rattle the hell out of you
My friend uses a period tracking app and she has a good opinion of it - she says that it is pretty accurate when it comes to predicting when your next period should arrive. I haven't used one myself, but why not give it a try? Here is an article on different period tracking apps there are out there:

Mine vary. I do get a sign, but sometimes it's a really weird one. For example, I'd have a dream that my period was about to start or was already on. I'd wake up and woosh, there it was. Other times I can get 'contractions', for lack of a better word, around 1-2 weeks beforehand where I'll get a small pain but then it goes away in seconds. The closer the pains are to one another would tell me how soon my period is due to start. Sometimes I don't get any of that and I'll just feel more drained than usual or like I can't get going, but sometimes I confuse it with just being generally really tired so it can be hard to tell.
Other times it can be really awful. The first 1-2 days can be the worst. I'll start to feel like the life is being drained out of me, and then I'll get the pains. Sometimes I'll feel so drained that I'll feel like I'm about to collapse. On even worse occasions the pain is just so bad it makes me feel sick, and I can barely get up or move around because I just feel so light-headed and drained.

It's strange isn't it?
The only other symptom I get is that I actually sleep throughout the night before my period is due.

In the week run-up to our period, Julie and I get a big edgy. Like, irritable. But we've been lucky not to have a rough time.

I have no symptoms when it comes to my period. I used to get really emotional and anger when I was a teen on it. But when I lost it I guess all the symptoms disappeared because when I got it back nothing. It doesn’t effect me at all. Well maybe a little more moodier the day before but that’s it. Never have had cramps.
