Painful periods - September 13th 2019, 09:44 AM

Hey y'all,

I have always had fairly regular periods but they have always been painful. When I am indoors, in college or at home it is still tolerable. But my current work requires me to move about a lot and I am constantly outdoors. I get severe stomach cramps, lower back and thigh pain and I have this constant sensation that I am constipated, which is extremely uncomfortable but in reality I have severe loose motions. I can handle the loose motions but controlling what I eat.

But if anyone has any solutions for stomach cramps, it will be really helpful. I prefer home remedies to medications since I don't react well to a lot of medicines.

Thanks.

Dear Kay,
since you mentioned that the pain is most difficult to handle at work, I understand it's not possible to take a hot bath/shower or even use a hot-water bottle. In this situation I believe you should visit a gynecologist - they will be able to prescribe suitable medications and even if you're not eager to take it, it might be a good idea to see the doctor anyway.
Best of luck

I can only agree with what Matter said. But to alleviate painful cramps, use a warm pad around your abdomen and if you get constipated, then buy some Lactulose oral solution; it's a kind of syrup and can be bought over-the-counter at pharmacists, or obtained on prescription from a doctor. Generally, Lactulose takes a couple of days to work.

Lactulose syrup is gentle on the body Just follow the instructions on the bottle, or take your doctor's advice which I especially would to get advice on these painful brutes..

I don't know how to help you but maybe any doctor could?
