Birth Control and My Period -
February 17th 2016, 11:39 PM
So heres the story.
Two weeks ago me and my boyfriend were having sex and the condom broke so i took plan b.
3 days later i got my period. It was very light and only lasted like 2 or 3 days.
That day, I started taking birth control (because my OB-GYN said to start taking it the day you get your next period.
Today, i think i got my period again. It just started, and now i am freaking out because what if i took the birth control too early? and why am i getting it twice?

Plan B will mess with your cycle. It's normal to get your period shortly after taking it. It's not uncommon to have it again shortly after, or not at all. Generally it can take 2-3 cycles to work back out.
I'd suggest going to your OBGYN in case you are still concerned, however.

It's normal for Plan B to mess up your cycles. If you don't want to schedule an appointment with the OBGYN you might be able to call them, explain what's going on and get some reassurance. I recently had a question like this for my OBGYN and called them and they answered it over the phone.
I would suggest that you and your boyfriend use condoms as back up until you get this under control and figure out what is going on.
