No cramps during period?

I'm SURE that the title doesn't sound like the most concerning thing in the world, but. . .

It's concerning me, or at least raising curiosity. The thing is - - I usually have terrible terrible cramps during my period, to the point where I'm virtually immobile and taking advil every four hours just to feel moderately okay. At times I've been rendered unable to walk, and I usually break down in tears because of the pain at least once.

However, during my last period it was. . . Different. I didn't feel ANYTHING. No pain, not even the slightest bit of discomfort. It was a normal week except for the blood. I also noticed, though, that my period was far lighter than it usually was, so I don't know if that is related?

Does anyone know why this could be, though? And if I could expect it to be. . . A regular occurrence? Haha.

This sounds like a blessing to some people! It's probably nothing to worry about, our bodies like to do whatever the hell they want and confuse us all the time. See how it goes next time, if it's back to normal, then maybe it was just a one off. But if it's still pain-free and that's a concern for you, have a quick visit with your doctor. Just let them know your concern and they should be able to tell you if it's alright or not.

I don't think that it's necessarily anything to worry about. Remember that every woman's body changes sometimes, meaning that yours could be going through some changes and finally starting to get easier on you!

But, you can always call your doctor if you are concerned about it and see what they say. Even if the cramps or heavy period come back, though, perhaps they can give you suggestions on how to manage that better too so it's less of an issue.

It happened to me, and the doctor said there was nothing to worry about!
But, alas for me 2 months later the pain returned.!
so, I don't think it is a regular occurrence. though, i wish it was.

Re: No cramps during period?

Adding on from what's already been said, I've had some really terrible periods similar to what you've described. Some females experience horrific pain whereas others only feel a little. Depending on how heavy our periods are, they can affect how much pain we get. I find if my period is seriously heavy, I'm in absolute agony for the next 2 days before it eases off but if my period is light, the pain lasts for about half a day or not even that and I have a near pain-free period. Since your body is changing, it will be very unlikely that it's going to be a regular thing, however, it doesn't mean it's not going to happen again in the future.

I wouldn't worry about it. It just means your uterus isn't contracting as much and the lining isn't as thick as normally. It most likely is just a one time thing! But, if it happens again and you get worried, don't be afraid to contact your doctor. :)
