Period issues
I'm 17 and a virgin. My periods since college have been haywire. I'm currently on day 41, I've been having cramps and normal pms signs for 8 days.
My boyfriend didn't properly finger me as I don't want to lose my virginity and I know his hands are clean. And I'm stressed because of college and because my period is late, that is stressing me more.. What should I do? |
Re: Period issues
I would go see a doctor

Re: Period issues
You are currently on day 41 of having your period, or day 41 of NOT having your period? If it's the first one I would suggest going to see a gynecologist ASAP. It isn't necessarily normal to have your period for 41 days. This could mean something is wrong and you need to get checked out.
If it's the second one and that you haven't received your period for 41 days - stay calm. My periods used to be really irregular and I would go months without one. I didn't start becoming regular until I was put on birth control and now it's here every month at the same time. Have you been eating differently? Changing your eating habits, being stressed, exercising more and your body weight can also delay your period. Either way I would suggest giving your gynecologist a call and set up an appointment and maybe discuss putting yourself on birth control as this will help regulate your periods. :) |
Re: Period issues
Amber is right, if you've been bleeding for 41 days, then you should see a doctor very soon. It's not normal to bleed for that long.
If you haven't had sex, then you shouldn't worry about pregnancy or anything like that. Your period being late is very normal. It takes a good few years for your cycle to regulate itself, and for some girls it never does. If you're having this issue and it's a problem for you, you can speak to your doctor about going on birth control to help regulate your periods. That way, you'll know when your periods are due. It will also protect you from pregnancy for when you're ready to have sex. Speak to your doctor if you have any further questions about your period and birth control. |
Re: Period issues
it's day 41 without one.
I'm going to phone the doctor today, whenever my period is late, it's painful. >~< Thanks |
Re: Period issues
I'm glad you've decided to go and see a doctor. It can be fairly normal for periods to be irregular, especially in your first few years of having them.
Like I said in my previous response, using birth control will help with that and speaking with your doctor is a great idea. Let us know how it goes. |
Re: Period issues
I have a doctor's appointment for Tuesday. And they said about putting me on the pill.
I've had periods for three years and it's annoying at the peck of stress they go crazy. |
