Questions about my Period

I got my period December 14th 2012, and have only had two regular periods. Whenever I'm supposed to get it, I usually have like a clear liquid that comes out instead.
I'd appreciate help from someone who's had their period longer than me.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Questions about my Period

Hey Faith, it's perfectly normal for your periods to start out really irregular, mine were irregular for several years before finally regulating and I'm still late sometimes. If you're worried you can ask your doctor, but they usually don't start to worry unless it continues to be off past age 16.

Re: Questions about my Period

As Katie said, it is normal for your periods to start out irregular. I know that mine were the same way. I got my period at the age of eleven and went on birth control to regulate it at around fifteen or sixteen, so know that if it does stay irregular you can speak to your doctor about ways of regulating it. You can even call him or her now if you are worried about it, but I think that it is normal for your periods to be irregular. One thing you can do to keep track of it is to keep a record of when your period starts on your calendar. That way you can keep track of if it comes early, late, or normal and see if it is starting to regulate a bit. From there if you have any concerns you can definitely speak to your doctor, but I think you're normal for just getting your period. :)

Re: Questions about my Period

Hey Faith! I was 11 when I first started my period, I am 13 now. My period still isn't totally on track but it's getting there. I discharge before and after my period. My doctor said it's normal. Just don't fret over it.
