Acid reflux/heartburn only during my period -
November 18th 2012, 12:11 AM
I've noticed the past few months that I have near-constant acid reflux/heartburn during the first half of my period. As far as I can remember, this didn't start happening until I was put on birth control. I'm going to the doctor in a week or two, and we are going to discuss changing my brand for other, unrelated reasons, but I wanted to know if this was something anyone else had experienced and if it was worth mentioning to him. Thanks!
Sorry I couldn't be there, I was tied to a rocking chair.

I think you should talk to your Dr about it. It may be normal, and it may not be. But everyone's different. I would check just in case and to ease your mind about it. Hope everything works out!
So dance if it moves you,
and jump in the fire, if it burns you.
I'll throw my arms around you darlin',
and we'll turn to ashes.
Kinda like the way you tell me,
"Baby, please come home. I need you here right now.
I'm crying underwater so you don't hear the sound."
What if I can't forget you?
I'll burn your name into my throat.
I'll be the fire that'll catch you. What's so good about picking up the pieces?

It's not that uncommon, actually. It's most likely due to the Progesterone, same as why pregnant women have acid reflux.
A few things that can help:
1) Don't lie down soon after waiting. Try not to lay down until 2-3 hours after a meal.
2) Avoid spicy foods as much as possible.
3)Coffee, tea, carbonated drinks, alcoholic drinks ,etc can make it worse.
So those are few ideas. Hope you can get switched to a bc that works better with you
