Puberty Help!!!

Hi. I'm $BACON$ and I'm having some questions with puberty.

First off, my voice is starting to crack and get deeper. My friends haven't had this happen yet and I'm fairly concerned.

And second, my mom is giving my DSi to charity. Don't ask why. Please. It's because she says I need to outgrow it. But I dunno. In a way she's right I guess...

Well... DSi is for all ages :hehe: and if your voice gets deeper before your friend does you have nothing to worry about. Everyone's is at a different time. Dont worry.

Welcome to TH :) The change in your voice can happen as early as 11 or as late as 14, it just depends on the individual and is nothing to worry about. Mine changed at 13 too.

I developed before a lot of the other girls when I was younger. You have nothing to fear, girls find deep voices attractive! It's completely normal! :)

Boys have known to reach puberty at the age of nine, and you're towards the more average end of the spectrum. It's nothing to be worried about! :)

So I guess I'm still considered a boy for keeping my Original Gameboy. HA!

But its all normal -- There is no set age when you hit puberty. It's a range of ages. Most girls hit it before boys and boys usually around your age gets it. I sounded like The current batman in 9th grade because I hit it at 11. When I think about it, I think I sounded deeper back then then I do now, but I think that's because I'm used to it, yada, yada. There's nothing wrong except your mother stripping your DSi away. Just go "hipster" and grab a Org. Gameboy or Gameboy Color.

Your mom doesn't have the right to get rid of your dsi and about the voice thing it's normal at ages 11-14. if you have any more questions feel free to message me.

Technically, she does since she is the one that bought it most likely. And depending on state law; some states say you technically don't own anything until your "Adult age" In NY you don't technically own anything until 16. Even then its a "iffy" gray area. It may be wrong because she thinks she's making him 'grow up' but she is perfectly within her Legal rights to take it away if she wants.

Hey there!

Guys enter puberty anywhere between 10 and 16ish, though the average is 13. Which means you're about average...which is perfectly fine. Your friends might just happen to be a crowd of 'late bloomers'. And, it's not always easy to notice voice changes. Unless you only see someone very infrequently, it can be tough to really tell when someone's voice is changing.

Voice changes are very common so don't worry. It's a big part of what signifies that you're growing into an 'adult' (though I use the word adult loosely) As for your DSi, I don't think anyone under 20 is too old for one. I mean it's part of having fun. You see people playing on their cell phones who are in their 40s. Having fun and playing games isn't something limited to children. However, donating it to a younger kids who may have never gotten one if it weren't because of your generosity, is a sign of great maturity from your part. Plus, now you get to upgrade to an xbox :) I'm 21 and play with 360 every day, with people who are grown and have kids of their own. Like I said, games are for everyone.

Simply tell your mum that you don't think that you've really outgrown the DSi, and that you'd really like to keep it because you enjoy it.

As far as your voice and other puberty changes go - well, I'm 13, and my voice is breaking too; it's perfectly normal (well, I suppose anything to do with me can't be normal, actually:p), if you want to chat about anything else, please feel free to PM me (click my name on the left of this post, and "Send a Private Message for Rachael98")

I still have my gameboy and play with it often enough. Lol, I don't know how your mother can see that you need to "outgrow" it. My grandfather, before he left, gave me his old nintendo 64 and he had played it nearly every night :D gamers run in my family I guess. But my mother would never get rid of my xbox (the old one :) old school) because she knows I'd legit kill her. Anyway, I've had it since I was 5, it's a bit part of my life even if I can't get games for it anymore. Even if I upgrade it's staying. But, perhaps you should ask your mum why she thinks it's something to outgrow.

P.S. A mate of mine started having his voice cracking at 9, it went higher so thank God you're's is getting lower ;)

Um I'm 22 and still play my DS so your mom is way wrong on that. Video games can be for any age.
