your hormones are all over the place. It might take a while for it to be anything close to regular. Your body is going to do and feel all sort of things. If you feel it becoming a problem or are really concerned talk to your doctor.

It's normal to be irregular for the first couple years. Your period might not come at the same time every month, and you might skip a period altogether. Even years later, your flow might vary. I've had my period for 11 years and sometimes I'll be a week late or a few days early. Some months it will be heavier than others. Usually, for me at least, it starts out really light the first day, then days two, three, and four are heavier, then the last day is lighter.

If you just started your period last month, it's definitely going to take some time for it to regulate. I've had my period for over five years, and I'm still not even regulated yet. I only get my period every four to five months. (Not that I'm complaining. :P) However, it's going to take time for your body to balance all your horomones and regulate your period properly in your body. This is totally and completely normal.

If you are truly worried though, you could ask a doctor about it, but I assure you that irregular periods happen to almost every girl when they start their period.

Irregular doesn't always mean that your periods come one month, and then skip a month. Irregular could mean horrible cramps, or heavy periods one month and then a light period the second month. Though you've received your period in July and now in August, there is still a possbility it will skip the month of September because it's so new to you. It's normal for your periods to be all over the place right now, especially in terms of the flow. Everything is fine.

I remember freaking out when this happened to me :nosweat: for the first...year? I alternated between one month being heavy and the next being barely there. Like everyone else has said, it's normal to be irregular at first. Your body will get used to periods after a while :)

It will be super irregular for about the first 2 years and you'll probably have trouble tracking the days as well.

If irregularity proves to be a huge problem later on then birth control might help.. but for now it'll continue to be really irregular. ^_^
