Because going through puberty is something that everyone goes through, choosing whether or not to have sex is something that most people go through (even if they decide not to), and contraceptives and having sex is something that a lot of people go through. A lot of people have questions about puberty, and the more people who deal with something, the busier the forum. Addictive behaviors is pretty empty, because fewer people need help or have questions with topics that come under it.

Under the anonymity of the internet, on a forum with thousands of people who have probably thought the same things, it seems the ideal place to share it.
