I wasn't exactly a popular person a few years ago, I've never been "popular" but I had a lot more friends than I do now. I just don't like how much me and some people have grown apart :( I guess I still talk to some on facebook every few weeks but it's weird that we used to be close and now our convos normally turn into

I know it's my fault as much as theirs, I should have at least tried to keep in contact more but :( I think it's Christmas coming up. It makes me realise I have little people to buy for and send cards to /:

I know how you feel but just because you don't seem to talk much now, there is no harm in trying to talk to them more. Making the conversation a bit more, maybe even asking if they want to meet up and catch up and everything and you might get back to the closeness you had.

I'm scared it would be awkward though. I hate awkward social situations enough, alone with people I used to be closer too.
