WYLMM
Would You Love Me More a poem about unrequited love Would you love me more If I were the plants? Rich greens, fiery reds, pure whites Fueling the fresh air, rooting the deep ground And signing a bright new world Would you sit amongst me, taking in my beauty? Would you let me in, and breathe life into you? As you breathe into me? Would you love me more If I were the weather? Dark, easy skies when your eyes hurt Cooling, soothing, pattering rain when it's too warm outside Beaming, beating sun rays when you're feeling cold Would you look upwards and find shapes in my clouds? Would you admire me in all of my states? As I admire all of you? Would you love me more If I were your favourite meal? Fresh vegetables and fruits, to heal your body Perfectly-cooked meats, to fill your stomach And perfectly seasoned just how you like it Would you tell everyone about how good I make you feel? Would you let my presence comfort you, As yours does mine? Would you love me more, I wonder If I were perfectly crafted to your desires? The perfect personality, the perfect face and body Voice, gender, hobbies, and every word perfect and timed just right Dedicated to you, everything for you If I can't be what you desire now If I was anything else Everything else Would you love me back? |
