Reflections and opposites,
I've a roof over my head,
A place to sleep, Others are forgotten, Left for dead, I've a pillow, They've a stone slab, I've a place to sleep, They've a cardboard box, I've cupboards of food, They've begged for every scrap, My life isn't great But theirs is worse, I'll open up my purse, Pop in a few pennies in their cap, I'll hope they get somewhere safe, As I sleep in my bed, Their on the streets cold and no where to rest their head, Their forgotten I am too We've both a story to tell, We're both human Just I have a home While the streets they roam.. |

I love how you have written this as opposites. It's also very thought provoking too!

Re: Reflections and opposites,
Really great job with writing this! Although you and the homeless people have opposite lives, your struggles are still the same. Thanks for sharing! :)
