Finally wrote a poem again, and I'm very proud of it. It's a happy one, which is even more surprising. This is about when I was walking home with my friend in Poland in the rain and thunder, which I think will remain one of my life's most prominent memories.
Nature's Castle
Within the ginormous hallway of towering trees
A passageway of Nature's boundless castle,
A symphonic song of rustling leaves, of pouring rain;
Of mumbling voices, and distant music
Brought together by the pounding, bass-filled percussion of thunder
Rings out,
Accompanied by the powerful visuals, like a play;
The passionate guitarist on his bench,
The sand-dusted brick path,
The regular folk walking to and from the beach,
and the eye-catching
ever-bright lightning,
crawling across the sky, like a glowing, grabbing hand
Touching the clouds, touching the air
With skin thrice the heat of the Sun.
My skin, though, is soaked through with raindrops,
My body, my hair, my clothes together becoming one with Nature's blood.
And as I walk the hallway of Nature's castle, hearing the world's orchestra,
In an unfamiliar place,
I look to you, my familiar face
And for one shining moment, lit up by the bolts in the sky
I feel as though
it was all worth it.
And it always will be.

Whoa, just. I have no words for this one, Soda. It's brilliant, amazing, it literally took my breath away. Your time visiting the friend in Poland has definitely left a significant mark on you and it shows that this is a very cherished memory. And please never forget that we can allow ourselves to feel happy even just for a moment, just to revisit a picture or a clip in our minds; even when the world is a huge dumpster fire.
This is an amazing memory and I feel like I was there due to your descriptions!
Do you ever get a little bit tired of life
Like you're not really happy but you don't wanna die
Like you're hanging by a thread but you gotta survive
'Cause you gotta survive

I hope you share more works like this one.
Gosh, I still can't get over the vivid imagery.
Thank you so very much. Hopefully, I can make more poems like this one. I probably romanticised it a little, but what is poetry if not romanticising 'regular' things? Thank you again.

This was really good and I enjoyed reading this too. You always do a lovely job writing your poems and I'm glad that we get to read them.

It’s the rhythm
of your life.
It’s the expression
in time and movement,
in happiness, joy, sadness and envy.

I am just in love with this poem, I love how uplifting it is and I am so glad you connected so much with the story behind it. Thank you for sharing this with us.
This was beautiful! I always enjoy reading your poems but this really slowed me down and made me feel like I was actually walking with you. You captured the moment perfectly! Thanks for sharing with us and look forward to reading more of your work in the future
