love & hate

I like the way you know me.
Remembering my jokes,
my favourite things,
an obscure fact I told you once.
I like the way you make me happy,
engaging with my interests,
Showing me things I love.
I like the way you make me imagine things,
and give me hope for a better life.
But I resent the way it's all platonic,
no further meaning,
all a joke.
I hate the way you say, "just kidding".
You don't love me.
I don't love that.
