There is More To Life Than This

My head spins from these demands.
And to top it off:
Go online to help with homework while babysitting 3 children in person.
Where did the regard for human life go?

Do not be fooled by the kind hearted people who pursue education as a career.
Education is just as corrupt as any other.
There is no reason for schools to be this stressful.
I don't know if it is because I'm introverted or highly sensitive or what
My stomach churns at the fast paced pressure of multiple supervisors and competing demands
I don't want to face another day of this
I am trying to complete the year because that's the responsible thing to do

If I wanted to be a machine I would have gone to work at a factory
I wanted to work with human beings
Learning slowly, deeply, freely
Laughing, smiling, aha moments, productive struggles,
Joy
Connecting, strengthening, understanding

Broken and missing the point
Pressure and demands then leaving me to figure it all out.
Finish one task at 3pm and start a new one at EXACTLY 3 PM SHARP
And if I don't do it? complete bombardment
Disappointments
That's what this is.
I am a human first and foremost.
Before a teacher, before a worker
My students are human beings before students

And you still gasp at how I don't yet drive?
You have no clue where I came from, how far I have come
and where I am going next
I may feel lost and nomadic, but
In the grand scheme, I know there is life out there that isn't this
I don't have to live like this
I can change my environment
I am not stuck here
I know and I hold onto that
