Writing my life story in Fairy Tale form - October 6th 2020, 11:36 PM

So my therapist gave me the prompt of writing my life story as a fairy tale. I finished it and it is 7 pages long typed and single spaced but doesn't sound magical at all. I am embarrassed to show it to her tomorrow. Well technically I sent it today but we won't discuss it till tomorrow morning. Not comfortable sharing it on a public forum but is anyone interested in reading it and giving me feedback? I know writing for therapy is not as much about the quality as it is what I get out of it, but it would help me feel more at ease to have someone read it before this new therapist does.

Anyone interested? I can PM it to you.

Hey there, first of all I want to say I am glad you were able to write such a lengthy story of your life in the form of a fairy tale. I know it may not seem like it to you; but think of it like this: perhaps your new therapist is telling you to do this because all fairy tales start off with the protagonist suffering and going through all kinds of negative things... but, in the end, her life has that perfect ending we all dream of. Maybe you won't get it 100%, but I think she's trying to imply that from here on out as you work with her, your life can improve just like the protagonists in those fairy tales.

Anyways, I'd like to see it if you're be ok with it. You have me on Facebook, so feel free to share there.
