Old poem I feel needs to surface again -
November 21st 2019, 05:18 AM
[b]This poem was originally by MindFlower but has been stuck in my head recently so I had to go looking.
Spinning round in dresses
and coloring with crayons,
pretending she's a drummer
with mommy's pots and pans,
looking out the window
and wishing at the stars,
and humming to her little tune
while counting all the cars,
what happened to the days
where nothing really mattered,
who knew that all her fairytales
were all already shattered,
why didn't someone warn her
of all the pain she'd cry,
Not ready to leave yesterday,
she can't just say goodbye.
She's gone, she's gone, the girl she was,
she's grown up to be dead,
they filled her stomach backwards
and they stocked lies in her head,
her childhood was killed,
you read it in her pages,
of notebooks she kept secret,
her pain throughout the ages.
The girl that ran through puddles
wrote stories about death,
and she sang them like a grown up,
the whole song in one breath,
and dressed in pink, she'd run away,
to a world where no one cared,
who knew that one day,
they'd come with knives,
and she wouldn't
even
be scared.

Wow, I definitely liked this one and thanks for crediting the original author! Are they on TeenHelp or another website? I know you can't link but that username doesn't seem familiar to me! Either way, it's lovely and I think you should share your own writing if you have any.

This is really stunning and I'm glad you brought it up! The original author was great! Think you'll ever share work too?
Do you ever get a little bit tired of life
Like you're not really happy but you don't wanna die
Like you're hanging by a thread but you gotta survive
'Cause you gotta survive
