The place that love forgot
It was never a home
More of a hell hole Love and hate combined It was a house Held together with bricks and mortar Love was forgot Replaced by bruises Wayward outlandish excuses Lies and dishonesty riddled their lives It was a place love forgot Taught not talk bad of the secrets within It was never a home Just a shelter and a place to sleep Held together with bricks and mortar In their beds they silently would weep While mum and dad drank the poisionois drinks Love never lived Only hate survived It was a place love forgot |

I like how you used repetition. Thanks for sharing.

Re: The place that love forgot
I love the repetition in this throughout the poem, it made it really powerful and I think reinforced the atmosphere that this piece of writing had within it. Keep writing! I've seen a few of your poems here and they're always very good. :)
