Still Life

Birthdays
A fun day
A joy day
A day for celebration
That I'm here and alive and well
My life on earth and the impact I have
That lives on

But all I do is lay still, in bed
like a creepy corpse
Fallen from hell
I might as well
Be still dead
Rather than,
Be still life
There's plenty of people
Who can do a better job
Than I ever can

I like how you've structured the first stanza as everything positive and the second stanza as the opposite.
