Today,
I make six weeks free
Please don't tell me
How proud you are of me

Today,
I count the ways,
I used to punish myself.
For forty-two days
I am missing out.
The more I count,
the days I go without
The more I am losing count,
of mistakes I've made.
Forty-two days and counting,
going without accounting.

Today,
My skin closes, healing
I feel broken,
teared open, exposed
My emotions are for everyone to see.
