meh poem "desert"
I'm a stranger in a strange land Trudging through hills of sand My stomach swallows my chest My hands quaver in protest, as My legs beg to rest But the sand does not end I bite my lips knowing the truth I must face the desert and pretend that the wind does not pelt punches every which way I turn and every which way I go that the sun does not burn So I wrap my self in my arms So I catch the last drop of water So I hum my favorite tune, and trudge through Again and again edit: formatting issues fixed on its own *) no complaint there. So I just took out that begining complaint about my formatting issues. |
