my angry feminist poem -
February 14th 2015, 04:52 PM
I've been writing a lot of poetry recently, and I apologize in advance for the inevitable flood of depressing crap that is going to show up on TH today.
Disclaimer: this was not written to start a debate about feminism, and I would appreciate it if I didn't get a bunch of responses from disgruntled males.
My letter to every man
Against feminism
Would go something
Like this
Dear idiot,
Allow me to explain
Everything you deny
Allow me to explain,
My privileged friend,
How you will
Never
Be paid less
Because of your gender
How you will never
Have someone
Make laws to rule
Your body
Without your permission
Let me explain the
Fear
That encases me
When I walk
Down a dark
Street
You will never know
The terror
Of being the
Victim
Of someone taller
Stronger
Who doesn't respect you
And rips away
Your soul
Like paper
So please,
Continue to say
How nothing is
Wrong
While I count my
Seventy seven cents
And carry pepper spray
When I ride the bus
Creativity takes courage
-Henri Matisse
PM/VM me if you just need to talk. trust me, i don't mind

Yesss, I love this!
I agree, the last few lines make an impact.
Do you ever get a little bit tired of life
Like you're not really happy but you don't wanna die
Like you're hanging by a thread but you gotta survive
'Cause you gotta survive
