Have you ever felt miserable?
Sad, or just plain down?
Ever feel you're sinking
Deeper into the ground?

Have you ever felt depressed?
Like no one even cares?
You tried to get the best advice,
But all you get is the blankest stares?

Yes, you have.
And please don't lie.
We feel this way
All the time.

If you just read
The words I write
You might begin
To feel alright.

If a stranger on the internet
Can make you feel real crappy,
Who's to say that once cannot
Actually make you happy?

And if any day,
You need a lift,
Here's the poem
To do the trick:

Life is like a roller coaster.
It has it's ups and downs.
And in life, we always have
Our smiles and our frowns.

A roller coaster that just went straight
Wouldn't be any fun.
We want loops, and drops, and all that jazz.
And we want many, not just one.

You see my point?
You catch my drift?
We need many
Drops and lifts.

If your life is going bad,
It'll be over soon.
You will be lifted higher,
Straight over the moon.

We are human beings,
And we all feel pain.
But you can never see a rainbow
Without enduring rain.

And we'll never get the golden pot
Without fighting off the leprechaun.
And even if we are losing,
The dream and the pot are never gone.

There is still something to fight for,
That will make the pain worthwhile.
It'll be okay in the end,
And you'll be on top with a smile.

And so my friend, I hope this helped
Inspire you a bit.
Life is good, or getting good.
Depends on how you see it.

I usually write about my life.
On second thought, I always do.
But today I wrote this poem
Specifically for you.
