To Fill a Hole (poem)
To fill a hole it take a shovel and some dirt,
One shovel and some dirt, and maybe hurt. The hurt alone will do If the hole is you. So this is basically the same rhyme scheme and syllable structure Emily Dickinson uses in her poem "To make a prarie." Mine is a metaphor saying we often cope with our problems in a negative manner, then tell ourselves we're okay, and that the problem has been solved. Spoiler Alert: it hasn't! |
Re: To Fill a Hole (poem)
I really like the meaning behind this poem, you did well with writing it!
