Pictures To Go With My Poem? -
December 31st 2012, 08:45 PM
Hey Guys I'm proud to say that people would like to start buying my work (just as artwork, not the rights to it.) You might remember a poem that I posted that had to do with my expirence with bullying. It's called A Puzzle Piece. I also do a lot of photography. My profile picture? I took that. The person who wants to buy this poem would like a picture with it. It's going to be black and white to symbolize sadness.
We were actually going to go to an abandoned hospital, but we decided agaisnt it because people who went near it were getting arrested. Any ideas for pictures?
Thanks, guys.
I'll put the poem below:
Long, short, thin, and round.
I’m not sure where I’m bound.
Too many pieces to put together,
It seems like this puzzle will take forever.
I try to fit, but I am rejected.
The other pieces make me feel neglected.
It’s like separating the sky blue’s
And putting together the grassy greens.
Except my color isn't used for anything.
I am red, red with rage.
They treat me like an animal in a cage.
They make my life a living hell
They told me I’m not allowed to tell.
They know my name, not my story.
Putting me down gives them glory
Happiness is what they stole
Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can kill my soul.
If clarity's in death, then why won't this die?
Years of tearing down our banners, you and I
Living for the thrill of hitting you where it hurts
Give me back my girlhood, it was mine first
The axe forgets, but the tree remembers

This is amazing!! The picture you took for your profile is amazing also.
Hmm...I'm not having any incredible light bulb moments right now as to what the picture should be for your poem, but maybe you could look at some black and white stock photos on a website like Shutterstock for inspiration? You could try searching for photos under keywords like "loneliness" or "sadness," maybe.

Thanks, Hailey! Yeah, I was thinking of that. We have a graveyard by our house so maybe I can take some pictures there.

I don't know what the picture should be of but what could really cool is if you made the photo black and white but make one object in the photo bright red.

Hey,
Why don't you use scattered puzzles pieces? You could make it a cool effect and everything
Jay.
