Three Thousand Feet
Standing at three thousand feet
Looking down at my defeat The winds are screaming in my ear The waves are calm and seem so near Distant memories flood my mind The past has been so unkind The devils stream run from my eyes The devils horn straight through my heart I sit and wonder how they'll act And ask myself do they really care Looking down from seashore edge I see his face along the waves I think of him and what id say If i could see him one more day Id say daddy daddy why'd you leave I was seven how could you leave I know you didn't ask for this A single tumor decides your fate 10 years later im standing here This is famous din't you hear My blood red arms spread out like wings One step closer, ill fall to you I stood there at three thousand feet The devil pushed me from hells mouth |
