My mom is a jahova witness and my dad is a methodist. I pretend to be a methodist like my dad, and I was when I was little because that's what daddy was. However, as I learned what it meant I made my own decision of what I believe. I am a naturalistic pagan, and I sometimes wish I didn't have to hide it. I am, and I'm sure many others are as well, afraid to be honest about what they believe because it is not acceptable to so many people. So being honest about it, especially to family, can be extreamely hard. I find it easier to just play pretend.
