Trump wants to declare martial law

I'm curious how people feel about this?

Fascism, in my opinion. Very concerning.

All I can say is, thank goodness he's not been elected for another term.

Agreed. Just accept defeat already and preserve your remaining dignity, all of this is only making him worse off and ruining his chances even more of a 2024 election bid.

The day Donald Trump officially leaves office, he'll become a nobody bereft of the power and presidential protection he once enjoyed, except all the legal guys who will be out for his tail. I expect they are already forming a queue. :hehe:

Once Biden becomes President, he will overturn all the chaos Trump left behind. I don't particularly like Biden, but it will be interesting to see what he does.

I think I like Biden more and more all the time. I think the love he has for his family, Harris and her family is genuine. And I appreciate that. I agree with a lot of his proposals. and he has the cutest old person smile. Haha

But back on topic! I fully agree with what you said about Trump. Once Jan 20th hits, it’s over for him. Hopefully he doesn’t try and run for 2024, because Biden has already stated he is only serving one term

I read somewhere that Donald Trump may apply again for the Presidency in 2024, though that could be hearsay.

I don't think Trump will run again but I think one of his kids might.

What a terrible possibility.

Re: Trump wants to declare martial law

I think they should ban him from running in 2024. I dont have an issue with running for a second non-consecutive term (Grover Cleveland did it in the 1800s) but if you're going to try to delegitimize the election -without evidence- on your way out, I dont think you should be allowed to run for office again. That proves that its all about him and his ego, as opposed to public service.
I've had a feeling that he would try something like supporting the $2000 stimulus checks as a way of retaining support. He SHOULD support the checks- the economy is in tatters and it won't recover anytime soon- but I think the reason he supports them is entirely self-serving. I dont think we've seen the last of Trump at all. The reason the current stimulus bill is so weak is partly because Biden gave the go-ahead to Democratic congressional negotiators to negotiate for lower amounts of money. If Biden doesn't treat every emergency like its an emergency then I've definitely got money on Trump in 2024.
