"Happy Birthday. xxx" :p I'd go with whatever you're comfortable with. I mean, you're hardly going to admit to the entire Facebook population that you have a crush on this person, are you? How about inboxing them a birthday message instead? That's a little more personal. :]

Instead of just a generic "Happy birthday!" on their wall, inbox her and give her a more personalized message.

I agree with Holly, you should send her a personalized inbox. But if for one reason or another you don't want to do that then a simple "Happy Birthday (insert girls name here) xx"

Making it more personal is a great idea, as well as sending it to their inbox so that its a little more private.
I would also follow up after and ask them if they had a good birthday. It shows you care and its a sweet thing to do. :) |

The personalized message is a good idea.
Another thing you could do is post the "Happy Birthday xxx! Have a wonderful 18th Birthday" post soon after midnight. This gesture will show her what you want to say, but not really anounce to the Facebook populous "I love xxx" So, my opinion is the post and the PM |
