It's hard to resist you. I won't give in, but I tolerate you because of all the respect I have towards you - because of all that we have been through together, your intelligence and knowledge. We won't be together, though. It's hard to resist, but we won't. I will choose someone, who isn't going to drive me into darkness.

I feel awkward that I keep talking about him to you. There are so many times yesterday I wanted to bring up something that happened between he and I, but I realise you don't need me to keep going on about it to you. Plus you used to see him as a friend until I told you everything he'd been doing and how he's been treating me.
Although I'm being honest while I say I'm not used to people willing to put up with my awfully uncaring, blunt nature because I have a lot of issues, and is why I behave the way I am, it's not really an excuse. I'll just have to work harder at being a better friend. |

I know I can do better, and I am trying to work towards that. You might have thought you were trying to 'help' me, but really, I felt you were doing more harm than good. While self improvement is good, I'm a strong believer in self-acceptance so I don't want people trying to change or help me. What's wrong with just being me? I think it was unhealthy for both of us and I don't mind admitting that. I'm open for re-connection in the future, but know this, I won't ever feel close to you again.

I know you think I'm being irresponsible with my money, but I'm paying off my MASSIVE DEBT. I tried appealing to get rid of it, I lowered the interest rates, and if I'm using money that is GIFTED to me, that I'll take forever to spend anyway, to pay off MY DEBT, I don't see how that's being irresponsible! It's taking me forever to get out from under it either way and I can never afford to retire as it is. Why do you hate to see me do this?!

I'm sorry I didn't reply. It wasn't you. I just had a lot of other things going on in my life at the time. I struggle with a lot of things that aren't related to you or what happened. I don't really know what to say to be honest...you know how complicated things can be. I hope you are getting the help you need.

I really wish you would let me organise this trip with my friends. It costs you nothing. I know your words 'I have to think about it' are only a bluff. You don't need to ponder on my reliability because you know I am reliable and responsible, you only need to consider whether I've been useful enough to you that I deserve to be allowed to go.
I hate you. But I must have your consent. If I didn't, you'd never even know I'm going anywhere. Please, let me. Please. You never let me do anything adventureous even though you used to do worse things thirty years ago and then you wonder why I'm so insecure, anti-social and have no life experience whatsoever? |

You don't have authority over me, and you don't have the right to treat me like that. And even though I asked you more nicely than you've ever asked me to do anything, you still don't do your job when I'm not there because I spent today doing it for you. That's what I thought! Thankfully, I'm golden, especially according to her, so you are the one who needs to adjust your attitude and grow the fuck up.

Maybe when I take my vacation and you see who's really doing what and who the real problem is, you'll finally take me seriously and deal with her bullshit instead of protecting her and letting her get away with murder. I'm officially the only one in my department actually doing my job, and I'm sick of being drowned and treated like crap because I'm the only good employee you have left.
My life would be awesome if you quit. What will it take for you to understand that I am seconds away from cutting him off completely?! He's blown his 30 years of chances and I'm VERY close to done with him. |
