I'm starting to see what they meant about codependency. You are a grown woman and he's your husband and caregiver, not your father. You don't need to tell him when you take headache medicine, you are capable of functioning in the world without him, and you're the one with the chronic illness. Maybe that's why he works out of the house so much, he needs a break from constantly being 'needed' by you. I'm not saying you don't need more than the average spouse, I'm saying your dependence seems to go beyond even needing a caregiver.
