Hey girls! I'm a guy and i need help dressing nicer! Not too flashy, not too out there, just something that might catch girl's eyes. I just lost a crapload of weight and i never really dressed well in the first place. I wear a lot of t-shirts. bands t-shirts, etc. But I'm really not getting many looks from girls because I just look so plain. I started wearing flannels a little more and i like them. I just don't know where to start on dressing better.

This is going to be coming from a guy, But really if you want to get noticed by a girl youll have to do what is called peacocking. Show yourself as a potential guy in there life. Sure you will have to dress with what makes you, well you. But try going a lil classier. maybe add a playful either suit or sports coat.

Or if you want to go with your current style get close that fit. and add some a accessories. Like add a leather bracelet, a couple of rings, and maybe a necklace. But ones that will go with your style.

You cant also relay on how you dress alone. You also have to put yourself out there. And when you do show confidence. walk with a meaning in your step. even if you dont have much confidence just act as you do. and in time that feeling of confidence will blend in with your personality. if you need anymore help just shoot me a message i do have some knowledge. :)

I am also a dude. Something I would ask that Shikamaru is- how old are you? In high school or early college the suit/ sport coat might not go over so well unless you are in a little bit more of a formal setting. It can, hoever be pulled off depending on the pants and stuff you wear (I like the look when it is pulled off like Dr. Gregory House in "House")

I'd prefer a well-fitting solid-colored button down and some good looking blue jeans for a casual setting, and you can always add khakis and tuck the shirt in if you need slightly more formal.

I do like Shikamaru's advice about the accessories. Just one little thing that is out of the ordinary and perhaps sentimental to you can get the ladies to be like "hm... what is that?" and voila! A conversation has started. Conversely, if a young lady is wearing something out of the ordinary or whatever, YOU can ask her the same thing, and another conversation has started.

Honestly, just wear whatever is comfortable to you. I tend to look at guys dressed more casual anyways. But that's just my opinion.

Depending on the girl, it can feel good. Personally, the few times I tried it, it felt good for a few minutes, then would start to hurt. I don't like to try that anymore though since the last time hurt a ton. >.< I just did it for my boyfriend.

I look for a few things, that he's a good listener and is honest, respectful, good natured. Keeps his word. Can take a joke, but is also serious when appropriate. Courteous, but not overly so. I like a good balance, no extremities in behavior (and I don't mean mood swings or something temporary). Can make me laugh, can make me feel good when I'm around him. : )

I personally think its to cheat. You are with your significant other for a reason, so under no circumstances should you cheat on them with somebody else.

To add to the other things people have said, I'd go with accusing the person of cheating without evidence. I have to admit, I did this, and it was definitely the worst thing I could have done to the guy.

I have a few questions for the ladies. Gotta love thinking while at work :hehe:

Question one: Why do girls find musicians sexier then regular guys?

Question two: What instrument do you find sexiest on a guy?

Question three: Do you like(Would you like) it if a guy quoted Shakespeare to you?

PSY December 2nd 2011 06:50 PM

I don't find musicians any sexier than "regular guys." What I DO find sexy is developing a talent that requires a great deal of time and discipline. You can't learn how to play an instrument overnight, nor can you learn a computer/verbal language overnight, or a sport, or a lot of things. If someone aspires to do more than play video games all day (which is a "talent", but not one I value in a boyfriend), I'll find that "sexier" than Joe Schmoe who doesn't challenge himself in other ways.

Absolutely, assuming he's not just grabbing and memorizing random quotes. If someone can quote Shakespeare because they've actually read his works, then that shows he put time and discipline into studying literature.

I'm not exactly sure. I love music, so when a guy can sing or play an instrument its always really nice to hear him play something for me.

It definitely can. You have to think about how many girls there are in the world. Dancing is bound to attract some of them. Personally, I love when a guy is a good dancer.

Not all girls hate it. The more mature ones might, but you're only 16 so lots of girls won't hate it, they'll love someone who they can just have fun with.

If a guy can sing, I find it attractive. If a guy isn't good then it's embarrassing and I'd rather he showed me something he was good at, not something he thought I'd like.

If a guy is good at writing poetry then for me it can be a good quality. However, I did date a guy who wrote incredibly dark poetry, shoved it in my face but wouldn't read anything I had written. So in his case it wasn't a good thing. :p

Find what her interests are and go from there. And maybe add a nice romantic gesture to it. Maybe a nice poem or note telling her how you feel about her. It may sound cheesy, but more often then not cheesy works wonders.

This one I can easily answer. Really the best girl repellent is being a huge jerk. Not showing them any kind of proper respect or kindness.

And girls don't hate guys who sit away from everyone else. Most girls may not approach a guy that's like that. Only because they will seem harder to approach. But I'm only going by what I've seen and talked to girls about.

Because silence is golden :bleh: It could really repel some girls. But most times being an utter jerk repels girls the quickest.

Honestly a lot of girls I've met love it when a guy can listen. Also being quiet is a good thing. You'll learn more about her. And sure short answers are good. But some girls would rather have a good sized answer on it. So she can learn about you.

Anything that shows you pay attention to the little things. For example, I'm getting my boyfriend an aquarium, because I know his old tank broke & he has tons of fish applications on his phone.

Silent isn't the best girl repellent. & Girls don't necessarily hate when guy sit away from everyone else.

Silent doesn't mean the guy doesn't want to talk to girls, it could mean he is just shy. & It really depends on the girl about whether they hate it if guys don't talk much, listen, & give only short answers. Personally, I hate it because it shows the guy isn't interested.
