Personality is definitley the most important thing for me.. Not even just if the guy is nice, but a good sense of humor, similar interests, etc..
Don't say you're ugly. You're being too hard on yourself. (: Confidence is also a big factor for a lot of people.. The more confident you are, the more likely it is that peopel will notice you, etc..
Anyone worth anyones time should be able to look past any physical imperfections, becuse no ones perfect. But that doesn't mean people always do, unfortunatley.
My question is for anyone, guys or girls: If you were attracted to someone.. Then found out They have had numerous surgeries.. have a lot of scars.. Physically.. Like.. covered in surgical scars,.. Would that bother you?

Thank you I suppose I just haven't got that confidence needed in me, plus even though you say it don't matter, things like size still is a huge (well...small!!) insecurity and embarassment. I can't see myself ever getting out of this shell TBH
And no, aslong as she is a loving, caring, sweet girl, that's all that matter. Things like scars and cute don't matter, I'd just worry about how she got them, and take care of her

Sorry if this is a sensitive question but it has been one that has always boggled my mind.
Girls, why is it that y'all give guys who have been a jerk to you a second or third chance(s)?

I think girls and guys do this, and it's just because it's human to forgive and to think the person will have changed.

Goin through this right now... I have no idea , I guess (personally) I just feel that sometimes the good outweighs the bad...? though I know that the bad will come back and bite me in the ass.

I don't mind ears and belly buttons but I find it unattractive when a girl has her lips, nose, tongue, eyebrows, cheeks and multiple other piercings done, its just way too much in too many different places. I generally don't like tattoos that much at all, especially gigantic ones that cover half an arm or something.

Its mostly because of society and the social media.
Girls are seen as being dainty and beautiful, whereas guys are seen as macho and manly.
So its pretty much what Barbara said. Guys think it makes them more attractive if their very manly, just like girls think they won't be attractive unless they are small and cute.
And here you are living, despite it all.

hahaha, I'm not, Im rather skinny, but think about it like this... I'm sure you want to look pretty right? do you want to be skiny and envy others. Girls think they need to be skinny and a little slutty looking to get guys, guys think they need to be big and strong in order to get girls... because in the end, isnt that what they look at? I see my friends all looking at shirtless guys wtih big museles... but me, i know anyone worth dating is gonna love me for me. My friends would never dat a guy for just looks, and looks wouldn't matter if I they have a great personality, so I am not worried. My friends call me skinny (female friends) and it makes me feel bad, cuz i dont have big arms or stomach, but I pride myself in the musceles i do have, and remember it really doesn't matter.
Why are girls so confusing, why don't they say what they want and just play games with the guys they crush on or court? Why are they so shy about expressing themselves, it'd make things os much easier. I admit that I wont often confess my feelings, but thats becuase they are so scared to also, and it makes me think that they dont have feelings for me... what a paradox. at least the one girl I'm dancing the sweetest dance with started showing it. And yes, I'm very recieving...

Social standards and whatnot. Living up to be a provider and protector are the expectations of men. Many try their best to live up to that, even if it's not truly who they are.

No. We don't tell our size to anyone. I'm actually surprised that the girls in your class do that. Or they might be just showing off?
Maybe some girls do. It's really up to them.

I'm don't usually arrive any where late. I'm usually the opposite, either arriving 5 to 10 min early or less than 5 late. Of course, this is barring factors outside my control like traffic, bad weather, lost car keys (kind of my fault lol) but I've never been on a date so I can't really say how it would be annoying if someone was late to one.

NO, it wouldn't bother me. I dated a girl for a while that had sever burns from an accident. We are still friends and she is still one of the most beautiful people I know.

Every single one of my close friends who are female know my bra size and I know theirs I know that a lot of my friends are quite self concious about their sizes and think they're 'small' which leads to trying to convince them that they're not which then leads to a confession of bra sizes
I don't know if this has been asked yet but what's everyone's take on having a possessive/clingy partner? would you find it annoying or would you take it as a sign of love?

It would depend on the amount of clingy/possessiveness for me.
I'm a rather independent person, so I would definitely like some space and some alone time but I also would like a girlfriend who isn't necessarily afraid to bug me a little bit, because at least then I'll know she cares, but not so much that she wants to know of my whereabouts 24/7/365.

Peace-21: "Clingy" is okay, to me that shows that they really, really care about you. It might be a tad annoying, but it's something you could work through
"Posessive" on the other hand is normally fueled by jealousy, not love and as a result it's not okay.

I'm not really that reserved so yeah, I would tell people my bra size. I mean its pretty easy to guess anyway, so I don't really see the harm in telling people. However if someone really creepy asked, then obviously that would be an exception.

Personally, I'm more insecure about my boobs so I don't tell most people. Most people also don't ask. Depending in the situation, it can be rude to ask. I've known a few boys who would guess, and that's just insulting-danger territory. It's like guessing a girl's pants size. It can be triggering too since the number in the bra size represents circumference. Plus, some girls are insecure about their boobs size. It might not be triggering for me, but for others, it can be. I don't want to give a chance of making a girl feel bad about herself and compare herself to me because she overheard. I personally place it as a subject to not talk about, but that's me.
You shouldn't be scared of girls who can confidently say their size. Don't worry, they won't bite! It's probably a part of their body they are proud of or at least more open about. Sharing their size doesn't mean anything is wrong with the girl, nor does it make the girl more open to sexual ideas.
Sometimes all you need to do is sprinkle a little glitter on someone's raincloud to blend them a rainbow.

I'm actually still dealing with a jerk ex who keeps trying to contact me. I've just ignored any form of contact & if he finds any reasons to meet up (such as swapping back school supplies), I talk to his mom instead. So I guess my answer is just avoid any contact, although this was a more severe situation.

I only ignore people I don't like or don't care for, but that goes for both guys & girls, not just guys.

Are you referring to casual dating or relationships? I've gone on dates with guys I wasn't sure about, to get to know them better & see if my feelings would change. However, if I know for sure that I don't like a guy, I won't unless he realizes we're just friends, but in that case, I wouldn't consider it a date. As for relationships, I would never be in a relationship with someone I didn't have feelings for. That wouldn't be fair to either of us.

Same reason why guys don't always tell us. Its because it can be very scary to reveal our feelings to someone because it makes us vulnerable. Nobody wants to be rejected.

It's mostly a fear of rejection, which I know some guys have too.

I know I'm not a guy, but I just wanted to comment on this, because I'm what you would consider "curvy" and I asked a similar question years ago. Every guy has different preferences. Some men want "stick figures," some want the "hourglass figures," some want "BBW" (big beautiful women), etc. It really just depends, and girls are the same way! Some want ultra-muscular men, some want men who can wear skinny jeans, some want men who are a little chunky, etc. With all of that being said, the media tends to portray two types of women as "ideal": the "stick figures," and the "hourglass figures." Younger men tend to feel more pressure to like and look for women who fall into those two categories. As they grow older, they tend to become more certain of their preferences, hence the reason why 30-something year old men are going for you, but the 18-year-old men aren't. Be patient, and I can assure you that someone will come along and love the way you look. =)

I wouldn't say every girl does this, just as not every guy does this. As others have said though, it could be the fear of rejection. However personally, there have been a couple of circumstances where it was either best to leave things unsaid or it was bit more complicated than "I like you, you like me, let's date" type of thing. It all depends on the person for their reasoning not to say this.

This can depend. There are two common reasons for this. Sometimes its because we just don't care for them because they are rude or annoying, or its because we don't return the same feelings but feel too bad about it to actually say anything.

No, I would not. There wouldn't be any point to that because dating is the stage where you are getting to know someone who you think you could get into a serious relationship with. If I didn't have feelings for them, it would be like dating a friend or my brother.
And here you are living, despite it all.
