It's hard to say, to be honest... I don't really mind who my girlfriend is; what she looks like or what she does - as long as she isn't afraid of showing true colours and being herself. She doesn't need to put on a smile and fake being happy if she really isn't - a girl with true, honest emotions is so appealing to me.
I love affection and randomosity, too.

I have a question for guys:
if you are doing something that your gf dislikes, how would you like to be told?
faith is a bluebird that you see from afar
it is real and as sure as the first evening star
can't touch it, or buy it, or lock it up tight
but its there just the same
making things turn out right

Well, I personally go right out and tell him. In fact, if I don't explicitly say the words "I like you," I probably don't like you. But I think I'm in the minority...
Next question: Would you ever break up with your partner because you were tired of him/her?

Not particularly. My girlfriend catches a bus with this guy that she talks to quite alot - he's a nice guy, and they've dated before, but I trust her completely. I mean, of course I get protective sometimes - I don't want to lose the girl I'm crazy about, but we both have our space... I can't really prevent her from being friends with someone.
Then again, she gets really protective when I talk to other girls... she's afraid she'll lose me to one of them. A lot of my friends are girls and often they're really flirty, but they know I'm with someone... And I wouldn't do absolutely anything to hurt her.

That kind of put me at rest, knowing that at least one person knows how to not be jealous all the time I'm trying to work on getting to that.

It's hard to say. I'm usually more territorial than the average guy. Usually when a significant other talks about their friend of the opposite sex ALL the time I'll say something like "Just so you know, I'm not the biggest fan of him becoming the subject of most of our conversations. It's not that I think there's something going on though. I can't help it. I guess it one of those 'guy things'."
As far as when the FRIEND does something that trips my radar...I know flirting when I see it. I don't think I'd date a girl who wouldn't tell me if he actually tried something. But then, I know I can't tell her not to hang out with him.

I've done that with exes. When you just get like that, it's pretty much a red flag that you're not working out and your feelings aren't too strong. Better get rid of them than lead them on. But my current partner has been a while and we're still going strong. I can't seem to get tired of this'n!

I have before. Obviously if you're getting tired of them, something is off.
Hmmm, my question is for the guys. What qualities in a girl stand out to you? Like what particular things make the girl you like different than the kind of girls you just enjoy looking at?

It's impossible. Somebody a hell of a lot more eloquent than me could write many books on it and still never quite get it right. Here's what I can say with confidence. The difference between making love and having sex is the different between listening to a song and...being moved by one.
Here's my question: Ladies, what is the biggest deciding factor that goes into whether or not you approach a guy?

Biggest deciding factor for me is instinct... I like a guy to smile, and seem approachable, not huddled away with his friends, but somewhere you can talk to them.
It's a little hard to explain, but, it changes within places too, like c club compared to a party etc.
"Life is pain, anybody that says different is selling something" ~ Fezzik's Mother, The Princess Bride. ♥
"To die, would be an awfully big adventure."~ Peter Pan
"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumoured by many.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books.
Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations.
But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it."

It depends on what he's doing and what kind of mood he seems to be in. If he's talking to his friends or busy with someone, I won't approach him nine times out of ten. But if he's standing by himself or something, I'll be much more comfortable with it.
It also helps to smile, really.

What would your ideal boyfriend be like, what qualities would he have, personality and looks-wise.
he'd have to be funny - but not too immature. funny in a mature way
i'd like it if he was taller than me (i'm 5ft 10, just so u know) and i've always thought that he'd have to be able to play a musical instrument, but my minds changed on that because i dont think it really matters soooo much...
he'd have to be sweet and charming, but not sick-to-the-stomach cheese. i'm a complete romantic, to be quite honest :P
but he'd also need to be a little protective of me.. but not so protective that he'd be starting fights on anyone who came within 2 meters of me. i have lots of guy friends, so he'd have to put up with that.
if he's tall, dark, handsome (or just italian) i'd be happy to be perfectly honest.
QUESTION:
this is more of an open question:
what would you do if you really liked someone that your best friend also liked?
and i know we've had this for the guys, but i want to see what the girls would do!
girls: would you date someone shorter than you?
maybe our relationship isn't as crazy as it seems.
maybe that's what happens when a tornado meets a volcano.
all i know is that i love you too much to walk away.

I'd try to make it clear to the best of my ability that I'm not interested without actually saying it. I know it sounds a little bitchy but here's the deal: I believe in saving one's dignity. I don't want to come out and say "hey just so you know, I'm not interested in you" if I'm not absolutely sure that the other party does in fact have feelings for me. If I did know that he actually really did like me, then I'd tell him flat out that I'm not interested.
Guys (or girls if they'd like to answer):
Why is it that once you get into a relationship with someone, all the flirting and fun goes out the window?
annnnd another question:
I'm completely oblivious to being hit on. If it happens to me I never catch on. If a guy talks to me I think he's just being friendly. Are there any signs that I can look for if a guy is hitting on me?
I'd sing you a song, but I'm feeling quite off

and now's not the time.

1. I guess a lot of us feel like we don't need to work at impressing you anymore. Of course that's not true, but it the way a lot of us react.
2. The same signs as flirting usually. If a guy you don't know approaches you out of the blue and starts talking you, it's a pretty safe bet that he's at least a little interested.

I find the main one to be eye contact, if someone is flirting with you, they'll find everything you say funny/intresting. They will also try and compare themelves to you, 'Oh yeah! I like them too..' kinda thing. But eye contact and smiling are the main ones.
Also wanting to spend time with you, but i guess thats pretty obvious :P

Personality: Sharp (quick-witted), intelligent, realistic, humorous, goal-oriented/driven, nice, and talkative. Probably I would say...open to learning from all and any topic most of the time too. Musically-inclined would be nice. Well-rounded. Polite (chivalry is a plus! I appreciate those gestures as "antiquated" as they are..)
Looks: 5"9-6"3. Dark hair, green/hazel eyes, athletic (can still be a little lanky, that's fine). Moderately dark to light complexion, I'd say. Short hair (clean cut) & preppy.
Those are normally the kinds of guys I go for anyhow.
Well. Now you know.

It depends on confidence i guess, i mean, if i was sure someone liked me, I'd ask, but if i wasn't I'd leave it and let them make the first movie (if they so wished :P)

For girls:
Lets say you hang out with the guy and you really like him.
You try to get him but he aint seem to be intrested.
Eventually you see no other choice to talk about "getting a boyfriend" in front of him to see how he reacts. He will tell you he likes you bit more then a friend and you'll answer that your not into relationship to lead the role - situation gets akward and you stay away for a while, then you'll go for another try.
Again the guy doesn't seem to be intrested, probably because you told him no.
You will talk his best mate into 'dating' with you to get your 'future boyfriend' jealous once again. He is sweet and caring but he never tries to get any closer, pisses you off and you 'dump' his best mate and start talking in front of him how you kissed this and how you kissed that girl. Eventually you don't know whats going on yourself either and simply sit at home.
Then you hear he met some girl yesterday and kissed that girl on the same day. Would that eventually trigger something inside you to go for him and stop waiting for him to move closer to you if you really want him?

I have a question. Let's say if you see a guy walking by you at work/school, you've never talked to him before, but you keep looking at him everytime he passes by you and you try to make sure he's not looking at you at the same time. Does that mean you have like a very small crush on him? And would you be very flattered if he summed up the courage to go and talk to you?

physical attraction; but yes, most probably like the way he looks. and but o' course i'd love it; it'd make me feel quite special in a way.. :P
maybe our relationship isn't as crazy as it seems.
maybe that's what happens when a tornado meets a volcano.
all i know is that i love you too much to walk away.

Well, I wouldn't say there's just one emotion that I find most attractive. I mean, I like a guy who can be serious and thoughtful, because that's how I am most of time, but if he doesn't show a funny and happy-go-lucky side too, then he's not going to be any fun. I guess I like guys who show some range of emotion (not like in a crazy compressed time frame, of course, but over the time I get to know them); someone who is more optimistic overall is usually more attractive then someone who's not, though.
Question for the guys: do you think about sex when you're making out with a girl, even if you're a virgin?

What do you mean?
Do I think "Oh my god, am I going to get some tonight?"
Nooo.

No, emmm I don't mean you think you're going to get it, just like, is it on your mind...if that makes any sense.

I don't really have a great answer for that, but it's a good one so I'll try. Personally, sex goes through my mind fairly often. So yes, it is generally a thought when I'm making out with a girl. But it could also be a thought while I'm eating a cheeseburger.
I don't do anything with the sole purpose of getting some these days. If I kiss a girl it's because I like her and I'm attracted to her. I want to see if I feel it, and if she does too. The thought does cross my mind as to how far she is willing to go, but generally I wouldn't have sex just after that.
Sorry, I have trouble coming up with good questions of my own.

Well, it's difficult to pick One emotion..
Umm.. I think someone who is happy, but can be serious at the right times is most appealing to me.
I also like people who have confidence but are not too confident.

Well, if I was in this situation (which I have been a few times), I would think that there was something going on in my mind...perhaps it would mean that I am attracted to that person, in some way.
Of course I would be flattered. If anyone gathered up courage to come and talk to a complete randomer like me, yeah.. i would be flattered.

I would leave them alone. I would leave them to my friend. Never let guys come in the way of friendship.

I think it is a bit weird if i was dating someone shorter than me.
